Funny, i have butterflies in my stomach since waking up this mornig, as if i am going to play myself against Spain.
My prediction is 2-1 for Ukraine. I have been waiting for it for 15 years since Ukraine became an independent state…

My prediction: Ukraine by a goal.

But this is going to be a very tough game. With Spain, one never knows which team actually shows up to play. They certainly got the talent. But so does Ukraine. And I give Ukraine slight edge because of Blokhin – his knowledge of the game and experience will help these young guys carry through.

Ukraine is my “2nd” team, besides the US. I really hope both do well, but at this point, obviously expect more from Blokhin’s squad.

I spent about 3 hours looking for a bar which opens before or at 9am, (and which is relatively close to my place) so I could watch the damn game. Since well, i ditched out my TV a few years ago. Eventually I even managed to find one. Which is definitely good news for me. Now I only have to check my alarm clock 10 times, or even better, stay awake all night.

I wish I could watch these with some of my friends who managed to find time, get tickets for this game in Leipzig (or even both). Or at least somewhere in Kyiv, or better yet, Lviv with cheering drunk crowd

But oh well, an Irish pub will do for now

Having followed every single game of ukrainian team for the past decade (crying, laughing, swearing, cheering, begging, praying, the usual drill, you know) I feel confident in our boys and have the best expectations.

So good luck to our team, sympathies to team spain, and I hope you guys enjoy this game, because I certainly will.

i will have to watch the replay of the match tomorrow. there is work i have to do in the morning that can’t wait. but that is not here nor there.

Of course as a Ukrainian I thin Ukraine should win. However, both teams are very good. Ukraine has the ability to win. The same can be said about Spain. Spain has some very good players.

I think the result will be similar to the result of one of the matches of Euro 2004, either 2-1 Ukraine or 2-2.

I am not checking the score till I have a chance to watch the game. One way or another tomorrow we have an interesting match on our hands.

Personally I’d go for a draw (perhaps 2:2, perhaps simmilar to the game played 3 years ago in Kiev, during euro2004 qualification) however I have a feeling late goal will decide the fate of this match.
