Keep ‘em guessing??
This past week representatives of the 7 teams in Group B for the Euro 2008 qualifiers met in Paris to finalise the calander of the matches. Six nations reached an agreement but one team did not give the green light just yet…Ukraine.
The Ukraine failed to send any reps with decision making power after failing to send their president or any influencial FA members to Paris. These type of events where comitties decide on international fixtures and other exciting topics such as animalistic merchandise for their contries e.g. lemmings wearing a Scotland Kit, don’t normally make any headlines at all and rightly so because their not interesting. However, Scotland Cheif Exec David Taylor added a little dig at the Ukraine to go along with his icy stare.
Taylor rapped: “That was quite unsatisfactory as far as the other six delegations were concerned. The problem, and I don’t mind saying it, is Ukraine.”
I like it! The qualifiers havn’t even started yet and already we’re getting under Scotland’s skin…we’ll also be finishing above their skin and above them in the qualifying group. But then again so will 3, 4, probably 5 other teams will as well.
Scotland have more important things to worry about anyway as they can’t play France at Hampden Park because of a Robbie Williams concert. When you’re national sport has to change venue because of a Bob Williams concert you know somethng’s not right.

Thanks for tipping me off to the Williams concert. I’m sure it will be much more enjoyable to watch than when we slaughter Ukraine!
